🔥 BIG NEWS FOR SOLANA ($SOL )!
Today, December 12, 2025, Jump Crypto's Firedancer officially launched on Solana Mainnet!
After 3+ years of development, we finally have our third fully independent validator client written from scratch in C (not Rust like Agave/Jito).
Why this is important:
✅ Client diversity - now one bug will NOT bring down the entire network (previously >95% of validators sat on forks of the same code)
✅ Modular tile architecture + low-level access to hardware
✅ Already shown >1,000,000 TPS on a regular server (Breakpoint 2024 demo)
✅ Frankendancer (Agave+Firedancer hybrid) has already taken 26% of the stake in a couple of months - people are ready to migrate
Firedancer is not just "another client". This is a step towards a real 1 million TPS and Solana becoming the fastest L1 in the world without compromising on decentralization.
By the way, this is just the beginning: Alpenglow is ahead (finality ~150 ms) and the SIMD-0370 proposal to completely remove the block size limit.
Solana has just become much more stable and much faster.
