He was pushed down the school stairs, beaten, and sent to the hospital.
Everyone thought the boy was finished.
But that same boy today... is openly challenging NASA and President Trump!
The story begins in South Africa.
He was a very quiet and introverted child. The bullies in his class hated him.
One day during a lunch break, a group of boys pushed him down the stairs. They didn't just drop him; they kept kicking him until he fainted.
He had to be hospitalized and needed surgery. At that young age, the boy realized that the world is not a place for the weak. He needed to gain strength.
But here is the twist:
He didn't go to the gym to build his muscles. He built his brain instead.
At just 12 years old, he learned coding, created a video game, and sold it for $500! Think about it—at the age where we watch cartoons, he was selling software!
But he knew his dreams wouldn't come true in South Africa. So, at 17, he moved to America. He had no money in his pocket and no place to stay.
In Canada, he worked cleaning boilers in the freezing cold, where the temperature inside was unbearably hot. He survived on just one dollar a day, eating hotdogs and oranges.
After the struggle comes happiness, right? It came for Elon too.
He built two companies—Zip2 and PayPal. When he sold PayPal, he received about $180 million.
What would a normal person do?
Buy an island, buy cars, and relax for the rest of their life. But Elon Musk is not normal. He did something crazy.
He put all his money—literally all of it—into two things nobody believed in at the time:
* Electric Cars (Tesla)
* Rockets (SpaceX)
His friends told him, "You are crazy! You don't understand rocket science; you will lose all your money." Elon didn't listen.
And then began the darkest chapter of his life—2008.
This was the climax of his story.
* SpaceX's first rocket launch—Failed! Explosion.
* Second rocket—Failed again!
* Third rocket—Maybe this time? No, it blasted in the sky too.
Meanwhile, Tesla was sinking. No cars were being delivered, and the money was gone. His personal life was falling apart too. He had lost his first child earlier, and then he got divorced.
The media started laughing at him. They said, "This man is a fraud; all his projects are fake."
It got to the point where Elon had money left for only one last rocket launch. Or, he could use that money to keep Tesla alive for a little while longer.
He had to choose. If he split the money, both companies would die. If he put it all into one and it failed—he would be on the streets. He was borrowing money from friends just to pay rent. He slept on the office floor and woke up screaming from nightmares.
Elon took the biggest risk of his life.
He prepared for SpaceX's fourth rocket. It was do or die. The date was September 28, 2008.
The rocket took off. Pin-drop silence in the control room. One minute, two minutes... The rocket reached orbit perfectly! Success!
And just a few days later, right before Christmas, NASA gave him a $1.5 billion contract. Tesla also got investment at the last moment.
A man returned from the edge of a cliff.
The man who cried in fear of bankruptcy in 2008 is now dreaming of sending humans to Mars. SpaceX now lands rockets back on Earth, something nobody imagined before. Tesla is now the most valuable car company in the world.
Brother, do you know why I told you this story?
You might get depressed over small failures. A bad result in an exam or someone’s rude words might make you feel like it's all over.
But remember, the boy who was beaten and sent to the hospital, the man the industry laughed at—if he didn't give up and conquered the world, why can't you?
Elon Musk's life teaches us: the bigger the risk, the bigger the success. Just when you think all doors are closed, the real magic is waiting.
You just have to keep going, like a madman, until your last breath. Put down the phone and chase your dreams. Who knows, your stubbornness might create history tomorrow!
