Is your principal small and your rhythm chaotic? Try my clumsy method, first learn to survive!
Just a few months ago, a friend was on the verge of liquidating his account.
He told me that he chased prices every day, going all in whenever there was good news, but ended up either getting trapped or forced to sell, and his mindset was about to collapse. That day he asked me, "Bro, is there still a way for 'ordinary people' to make money in the crypto world?"
I only said one thing: It’s not that there’s no opportunity, it’s that you’re too anxious. I organized a few pieces of my own experience for him, and later he changed his habits accordingly, and his account gradually stabilized. Today I share it with you:
First, don’t chase prices.
Most of the hot topics you see are already in the "distribution" phase. The safest entry point is often when the market is ignored, and sentiment is at its worst.
Second, don’t go ALL IN on a single asset.
Even if your principal is small, you must learn to keep some reserve. If you don’t keep cash, you can only watch when it drops. Keep 30% in cash so that you can take action when the market pulls back.
Third, don’t be fully invested.
Many people have made money before, but they blew up their entire account once and lost everything. Position management is the true core of survival.
If you are trading short-term, I also suggest remembering these few rules:
Don’t act in a sideways market; waiting for a confirmed direction change is the best move; after a panic sell-off, opportunities often arise, don’t let emotions drive you; true rapid declines are often followed by strong rebounds; build positions in batches, don’t go all in at once; a sideways period after a big rise is high-risk, taking profits in time is more important than fantasizing.
This is not a guaranteed profit "skill," but a set of trading rhythms that can help you avoid blowing up and survive. Don’t envy those stories of doubling overnight; most of those happen once and then disappear. What we want is a method that allows us to survive round after round.
Take it slow, that’s the real fast. The crypto world won’t close its doors because you are slow, but it will teach you a harsh lesson if you are too anxious.
