Ukraine's potential accession to the European Union draws attention to a new proposal. According to information released by BlockBeats, an initiative linked to the mediation of the UK and the United States points to the possibility of Ukraine becoming a member of the European Union in early 2027. If this progresses, the proposal would represent a significant shift in the traditional process of EU expansion. Close sources to the negotiations state that the latest draft of Ukraine's peace plan sets January 1, 2027, as the target date for the country's accession to the EU. However, this accelerated timeline would challenge the current model of the EU, which is based on a gradual fulfillment of criteria and performance for the admission of new members, necessitating a complete review of the entire accession process. Russia's foreign policy advisor to President Vladimir Putin, Yuri Ushakov, stated on Friday that Moscow still does not have access to the final text of the peace proposal presented by the United States in collaboration with European allies. According to him, when we gain access to the document, we are likely to disagree with many of its points. Ushakov also rejected the proposal to turn the frontline area of Donbas into a 'free economic zone'.
