Don't blame the market for being harsh; it never takes the initiative to kill—stepping on a mine yourself, and it's cleared in seconds.

I've compiled the "five consecutive hits that return principal in seconds" I've seen over the past five years into a blood letter. New family members, please check against this before opening a position.

① First mine: Max leverage

100x sounds great, but a 1% market shift can lead to liquidation.

When the CPI was announced last November, BTC instantly dropped by 2.1%, and a 50x long position evaporated 2.8 billion U on the spot.

Newbies should not exceed 3–5x; leave a way out for volatility.

② Second mine: Naked running without stop-loss

"Just wait a bit longer for a rebound" = epitaph.

Correct posture: set a -2% stop-loss before placing an order, immediately push for protection when profitable, and always let someone else press the liquidation button.

③ Third mine: Full position gamble

Single risk >2% is gambling with your life.

With a principal of 10,000 U, even 10x leverage only requires 200 U as margin; if you lose it all, accept your loss; if the account doesn't die, opportunities are always there.

④ Fourth mine: Emotional FOMO

Chasing up 3% and cutting down 3%, staying up late watching the market while stuffing anxiety into positions.

I use an alarm clock instead of staring at the screen: check once at 9:50 and 17:00 every day. If there’s a signal, place an order; if not, shut down, clear your emotions, and the account will be safe.

⑤ Fifth mine: Platform spikes

In extreme market conditions, mainstream platforms have slippage, not to mention smaller ones.

In March this year, during the Fed's interest rate decision, OKX spiked down by 7% instantly, with liquidation amounting to 1.4 billion U.

Don't trade 30 minutes before and after data releases; when choosing a platform, use the top three to insure your funds.
