Seeing that your principal is less than 2000U, don’t rush to act.
I have seen too many tragedies of trying to gamble big with small money: going all in chasing highs and lows, blindly following trends, and losing everything in just a few days.
But last year, I guided a beginner who turned 1800U into 80,000U without ever blowing up a position or staying up all night.
He succeeded because he adhered to three rules I acquired through real money.
1. Split the money into three parts, always leave an exit
His 1800U was divided into three parts, each 600U:
1. Pocket money: Only trade mainstream coins, make 3%-5% daily and exit, never get attached. This money is just for practice.
2. Swing capital: Only act when the 4-hour K-line shows clear signals, hold for 3-5 days, and ignore fluctuations in between.
3. Emergency funds: Keep separate, never use under any circumstances. This is the last resort capital; having an exit allows for a stable mindset.
2. Only follow the trend, don’t waste bullets in volatility
80% of the time the market is sideways; random operations just waste transaction fees.
I had him focus on two signals: market direction + trading volume. Only enter when the trend is clear and volume is increasing; otherwise, wait.
Once profits exceed 12%, immediately take half off the table for safety. Floating profits are just numbers; cash in hand is real money.
3. Rules over emotions, let discipline make decisions for you
Set a stop-loss for every trade (2% of principal), decisively exit when losing, and don’t fantasize about “waiting a bit longer.”
Reduce position by half when profits exceed 4%, set a trailing stop for the remainder to let profits run.
Never add to a losing position; emotional decisions are wrong 99% of the time.
You don’t need to always predict the market accurately, but you must always follow the rules.
One last thing to say:
Small funds are not scary; what’s scary is always wanting to “turn the tables in one go.”
This industry is about who lasts longer, not who is bolder.
Just like farming requires spring planting and autumn harvest, investing is the same—be patient, stick to the rules, and time will give you the answer.
