You’ve probably noticed how fast $FOLKS moved, from roughly $3.4 to the low $30s with barely any pauses. Whenever a chart does that, the questions are always the same, what actually changed, and how fragile is this move now? 🤔 The rally didn’t come out of nowhere. Timing played a big role. Folks Finance started pushing hard into cross-chain DeFi just as that narrative picked up again. Their upcoming xChain V2 upgrade (planned for H1 2026) is a meaningful step, it’s aiming to make cross-chain lending feel native across both EVM and non-EVM chains, instead of relying on clunky bridge setups that users don’t trust anymore. On top of that, they rolled out a $10M incentive program tied to a $1B TVL target. Incentives always matter, and in this case they pulled in attention and liquidity fast. The Monad launch added another layer. Folks went live on Monad mainnet and crossed $10M TVL there quickly, helped by aggressive yields and USDT0 becoming the largest stable pool on the chain. That matters because it showed real capital moving, not just announcements and roadmaps. Under the hood, the tech stack also improved. Integrations with Wormhole NTT and Chainlink CCIP mean assets can move across chains without relying on traditional bridges. In today’s fragmented DeFi environment, that’s actual utility, not marketing fluff, and it expands where $FOLKS can realistically be used. Then you add the secondary fuel, a KuCoin listing, a sharp volume expansion, and backing from firms like Coinbase Ventures and Jump. That combination is usually enough to turn a strong move into a vertical one. Now for the part people don’t like hearing. Price is stretched, and a large chunk of supply, roughly 74%, is still locked. Unlocks and profit-taking can shift momentum quickly. This wasn’t an empty pump, but chasing after a 10x move without thinking about structure is how gains disappear. 🫡 Good project. Real progress behind it. Just don’t trade $FOLKS with excitement instead of a plan.
