🚨 $BTC DeFi Security Alert | $AAVE – Old DOV Vault Exploit

On 14/12, DeFi faced another setback as Aevo (formerly Ribbon Finance) confirmed a major security breach affecting the old Ribbon DOV vault.

🔸 A vulnerability introduced during a smart contract update was exploited, leading to an estimated $2.7M loss

🔸 Around 32% of the vault’s funds were wiped out

🔸 The team has paused and disabled all affected vaults

🔸 Users must upgrade contracts and manually withdraw funds to secure remaining assets

🔸 The upgrade is expected next week

🔸 Claim period: 12/12 → 12/06 (next year)

🔸 After the deadline, the DAO will liquidate remaining assets to distribute to users who withdrew earlier
