SpaceX has officially informed employees that the company is preparing for a potential initial public offering (IPO) next year, confirming recent market rumors.
SpaceX Chief Financial Officer Bret Johnson wrote in an internal memo sent to employees on Friday: "We are preparing for a potential IPO in 2026. Our thought is that if we execute well enough and the capital market environment aligns, then the IPO is expected to raise substantial funds for the company."
