$ICP is too complex, I don't understand what it is doing.

Sounds reasonable. So let's simplify it like this:

A subnet in ICP is essentially an independent blockchain — you can think of 1 subnet ≈ 1 Solana.

Now imagine there are 47+ Solana-like blockchains running in parallel, but not isolated.

They communicate with each other instantly, safely, and to users, it feels like just ONE single blockchain.

That is the subnet of ICP.

👉 ICP is not a blockchain.

👉 ICP is a whole network of many blockchains merged into one.

👉 47+ blockchains' computing power, combined into one system.

So ICP is hard to understand —

because it doesn't aim to become a regular L1. 🚀
