$BTC Cathie Wood Shares Her Thoughts on Bitcoin’s Global Impact
Cathie Wood, founder of ARK Invest, recently spoke about Bitcoin and its growing importance in the global financial landscape. She described Bitcoin as a groundbreaking form of money and a new asset class that is reshaping how institutions think about finance. According to Wood, Bitcoin is still the main gateway for institutions entering the crypto world and deserves top priority when organizations consider digital assets.
She also touched on how the conversation is changing around Ethereum and Solana. Wood explained that Ethereum currently plays a key role as the base infrastructure for institutions, especially when it comes to developing Layer 2 solutions. That said, with so many Layer 2 networks emerging, some are beginning to wonder whether Ethereum could eventually become more standardized or “commoditized.”
On the other hand, Solana stands out as a blockchain that’s more focused on consumer-friendly applications. While it’s not yet as central to institutional use, Wood suggested that Solana could become more relevant to institutions as its ecosystem continues to grow.
