The survival rules of veteran traders in the crypto world: Insights from 2400U to 68,000U
Don't call me a big shot; I'm just a veteran who has blown up three times and stepped into countless pitfalls.
This bit of profit might seem trivial in the eyes of true big shots, but for brothers looking to recover their principal, it might be a lifeline. #币圈生存法则
Last year, a brother came to me with 2400U, saying he wanted to make back what he had lost before.
I didn’t talk to him about moving averages or MACD and other fancy stuff; I just gave him three straightforward pieces of advice that I learned the hard way.
He followed them for three months, and his account surged to 68,000U without a single liquidation.
Whether you can grasp these three "survival rules" depends on how much respect you have for the market.
Divide the money into three parts, each with its own use: 2400U split into three 800U portions, not to be used interchangeably.
The first portion is for short-term trading, opening a maximum of 2 positions daily. Once done, close the software and never stare at the screen;
The second portion waits for trends. If there is no bullish pattern on the weekly chart or significant volume breaking key levels, hold onto the short position;
The third portion is kept as "emergency funds" to add to positions when facing a market spike that could lead to liquidation, safeguarding the principal's bottom line.
Only take a bite out of the trend:
Identify three entry signals—if the daily moving average is not bullish, don’t act;
Only test the waters with a small position when the market shows increased volume breaking previous highs and the daily chart closes steadily;
When profits reach 30% of the principal, withdraw half of the profits first, and set a 10% trailing stop on the remaining, as cash in hand is yours.
Lock up your emotions: Write a plan before entering the market, set a stop loss at 3%, and automatically close the position when it hits;
When in profit by 10%, pull the stop loss up to the cost price to safeguard the bottom line;
Shut down the computer at midnight sharp; if you can’t sleep, uninstall the app, never let late-night emotions disrupt your trading.
Markets exist every day; if you lose your principal, you’re completely out.
First, engrave these three rules in your mind, then ponder the intricacies of waves and indicators.
Have a little more respect for the market, and your account will be a little more stable.
I used to stumble around in the dark alone, but now the light is in my hands.
The light stays on; will you follow? @不贪的阿 K
