CoinVoice has learned that Nasdaq has submitted documents to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), planning to extend the trading hours for stocks and exchange-traded products (ETPs) from 16 hours daily to five days a week, 23 hours a day. The new trading hours will include: daytime trading session (Eastern Time 4:00 to 20:00), a one-hour market closure (20:00 to 21:00), and nighttime trading session (21:00 to the next day 4:00).
The entire trading week will start at 21:00 on Sunday and end at 20:00 on Friday. The existing regular trading hours (9:30 to 16:00) for opening and closing times remain unchanged.[Original link]
