The session layer is what really clicked for me. Permissions that expire automatically mean failures don’t turn into disasters. If something goes wrong, it goes wrong in a small, contained way. That’s rare in automation. I had to reread that part once, because this is where trust stops being a promise and starts being practical.
Another quiet insight is how Kite treats payments. Not as finance, not as speculation, but as infrastructure. Agents don’t want portfolios. They want to pay per action, per request, per moment. Sub-cent, instant micropayments make that possible. That’s how an agent economy actually moves — through flow, not hype.
And importantly, Kite isn’t building in isolation. Native x402 support, compatibility with Google A2A, Anthropic MCP, OAuth — this feels less like a closed system and more like a shared execution layer.
Reading it didn’t make me excited.
It made me calm.
And honestly, that’s usually a good sign.
