Renewed concerns over safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz followed an attack on a cargo ship, even as oil was on track for a weekly decline after transits through the waterway accelerated, according to Bloomberg.

Matt Stanley, market engagement head at Kpler, said the oil market is complacent about risks around Hormuz in comments to Bloomberg’s Abeer Abu Omar on Horizons Middle East and Africa.
