TotalEnergies (EPA:TTEF) has agreed to sell half of its portfolio of 424 megawatts of wind and solar assets in Greece to the Spanish investment firm Asterion Industrial Partners for €254 million (US$ 297.36 million), the French oil company announced on Wednesday.
The transaction values the entire portfolio at €508 million, which represents approximately €1.2 million per installed megawatt.
According to the agreement, TotalEnergies will continue to operate the Greek renewable assets while retaining its 50% stake. The company plans to market and sell most of the electricity generated by these facilities as soon as the current regulated tariffs expire.
The deal adds to TotalEnergies' ongoing efforts to optimize its renewable energy portfolio while maintaining operational control of key assets.$ETH $BTC $XRP
