Kite Builds Blockchain Infrastructure for Agentic Payments and Autonomous AI Transactions
Kite is developing a blockchain platform purpose-built for agentic payments, aiming to enable autonomous AI agents to transact securely with verifiable identity and programmable governance. The project introduces an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain optimized for real-time settlement and coordination between AI agents, addressing emerging needs at the intersection of artificial intelligence and decentralized finance.
A core innovation of the Kite blockchain is its three-layer identity architecture, which distinctly separates users, agents, and individual sessions. This design enhances security, limits risk exposure, and gives users granular control over how autonomous agents operate and transact on their behalf. By isolating identities at multiple levels, Kite seeks to make AI-driven financial activity safer and more auditable on-chain.
The network is powered by KITE, its native token, which underpins ecosystem participation and economic alignment. Token utility will roll out in two phases. The initial phase focuses on network adoption through incentives and ecosystem engagement, while the second phase introduces staking, governance participation, and fee-related functions, strengthening long-term security and decentralization.
