ChainCatcher message, a U.S. court has once again been asked to weigh the practices of Maximum Extractable Value (MEV). The judge approved a motion allowing the amendment and resubmission of new evidence related to MEV trading practices in the class action lawsuit against Pump.fun, Jito Labs, and the Solana Foundation.
The plaintiffs allege that Pump.fun used MEV technology to allow insiders to acquire new tokens at a low price, which were then sold to retail participants after the tokens were pumped up, with retail participants being used as exit liquidity for insiders. Solana Labs, Jito Labs, and others are named in the allegations for facilitating this.
