Binance has received a certificate for responsible AI implementation

The world's largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance has received ISO/IEC 42001 certification — an international standard for artificial intelligence management systems. This is mentioned in the company's blog.
The document was issued by A-LIGN — a reputable compliance assessment organization accredited by the National Accreditation Board ANSI.
ISO/IEC 42001 is an international standard for defining the requirements for an artificial intelligence management system. It helps organizations responsibly control the technology.
«At Binance, the certification confirms the reliability of the structure we have created for the proper application of AI. By using this structure throughout the entire lifecycle of LLM, we enhance the safety, reliability, and accountability of systems, aligning them with new regulations such as the EU Artificial Intelligence Act,» says the exchange's blog.
Certification "guarantees" that AI tools are applied responsibly and in accordance with international standards.
«ISO/IEC 42001 confirms the correctness of the structure we have built around responsible AI. […] In practice, it is about ensuring that our artificial intelligence behaves as intended, even as it becomes more complex,» commented Binance's Chief Security Officer Jimmy Su.
The exchange's blog states that the unified approach to responsible innovation ISO/IEC 42001 "easily integrates" with existing ISO certifications: ISO 27001 for security, ISO 27701 for privacy, and ISO 22301 for business continuity.

Binance's Chief Data Protection Officer Barry Yang emphasized that the exchange has become one of the few organizations in the world that simultaneously holds ISO certifications in security, privacy, and AI governance.
The responsible use of artificial intelligence is the "cornerstone of the company's further development in finance," says the blog.
