LOST 50 MILLION DOLLARS JUST BECAUSE OF A WRONG COPY-PASTE OF THE WALLET ADDRESS 😱
A person just lost 50 million dollars due to a disastrous mistake when transferring U.S.D.T.
The scam scenario goes as follows:
Before making a large transfer, the victim sent a test amount of 50 USDT to their wallet address (0xbaf4b1aF...B6495F8b5).
The scammer immediately created a fake wallet with the first 4 and the last numbers of the address being identical and executed a fake address attack!
Because many wallets only display the beginning + end + "..." in the middle, the victim was used to copying addresses from transaction history and only checked the first/last 4 digits.
Malware on the device automatically changed the address to another one but kept the first and last 4 digits matching the victim's address.
When transferring the remaining amount of 49,999,950 USDT, the victim mistakenly pasted the fake address → the money went straight into the scammer's pocket!
Now when making a large transfer, definitely check the middle part, right guys, because this trick is too sophisticated to recognize 😭$BTC $LIGHT $pippin
