Magic Leaves. Part 2

Waiting for the snakes to disappear, Akhei picked the magic leaves and healed himself. The strength returned, the wounds closed, and he realized: the gift cannot be kept just for oneself. Collecting the leaves, he returned to the village — and saw the ruined house, the dead dog, and the grief-stricken Asa. The juice of the leaves revived the dog and restored his wife's health.

Akhei decided to share the miracle with everyone. Together with Asa, they went from village to village, healing the sick and the old. Years passed, the leaves ran out, and they themselves grew old — but they did not spend their last on themselves, leaving it for the people. When the leaves were almost gone, the sun and the moon, taking advantage of Asa's forgetfulness, took them away and became immortal.

To return the gift to the people, Akhei decided to climb to the moon. But due to Asa's mistake, the straw ladder broke, and Akhei perished. Without the leaves, Asa could not revive him and soon died herself. Healing herbs grew on their grave — a memory of the sacrifice that became a blessing for all.

Moral:

The true value is not in the endless retention of an asset, but in how and when you share it: greed deprives the future, while wise distribution creates long-term benefit.
