U.S. media: The United States has increased troop deployments and special operations aircraft to the Caribbean

According to an official, at least 10 CV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft used by special operations forces flew into the region from Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico on Monday night. Flight tracking data shows that C-17 transport planes from Fort Stewart and Fort Campbell Army bases arrived in Puerto Rico on Monday. Another U.S. official confirmed that military personnel and equipment have been transported by aircraft.
