Five major events will occur in 2026, and everyone should pay close attention.

Whether it's running a business, making decisions, or investing,

You must pay attention to these five major events that will happen in the future.

The first major event was the global interest rate cut.

In 2026, we will see major countries around the world launch a new round of interest rate cuts and monetary easing.

As we all know, the Federal Reserve cut interest rates three times in succession in September, October and December of the second half of 2025.

In fact, we predict that the Federal Reserve may cut interest rates two to five times in 2026.

You might ask: The US AI and stock market are both booming, so why cut interest rates? Well, let me tell you, the US economy is currently experiencing a stark contrast: AI technology is doing very well, but traditional US manufacturing has been declining.

Over the past few years, rising inflation, labor costs, and housing prices in the United States have weakened the competitiveness of its manufacturing sector. As a result, we've seen a decline in manufacturing orders and a rise in unemployment in the US.

Recently, people have seen reports of China having a trade surplus of trillions of dollars. What's the reason for this? It's because in the past few years, China's manufacturing competitiveness has improved, while the competitiveness of the US manufacturing industry has declined.

Okay, let's look at China. Needless to say, China's stance is already outlined in the Central Economic Work Conference document, which sets the tone for monetary policy in 2026 as "moderately loose." As you can see, due to factors such as inflation and other aspects requiring economic stability, China will also cut interest rates in 2026.

So here, everyone's attention is focused on Japan's interest rate hike. Many people are worried that Japan's rate hike will cause global arbitrage funds to flow back to Japan, triggering a decline in US and A-shares. I've already told everyone that there's no need to worry excessively.

It accounts for less than 5% of the global economy, so the impact of a yen interest rate hike on the world is actually very limited. Japan itself is already a second-tier country. In the past three years, Japan's economic recovery was actually due to Chinese buyers traveling and buying property there, which boosted the Japanese economy. Now that Japan has cut off its own source of revenue, I predict that Japan's economy will decline within six months, and then what? Japan will also join the ranks of countries cutting interest rates.

The second major event is the explosion of AI's super applications.

We say that wealth and success in life depend on the Kondratiev wave, and the last Kondratiev wave cycle lasted for fifty or sixty years, during which the IT and internet revolution took place. Since 2022, AI has been leading a new Kondratiev wave cycle and technological revolution.

With the large-scale deployment of AI computing power and the rapid iteration of large models, we will see costs drop rapidly, and the commercialization of AI will be closer than ever. I believe AI will have an upward decade-long cycle.

So, in which fields will AI's super applications explode? For example, autonomous driving will arrive; as you can see, Level 3 autonomous driving has already begun pilot programs in China. Autonomous driving is the ultimate solution to urban congestion and air pollution.

Another key element is AI assistants: AI assistants will eliminate over 90% of apps, becoming a new traffic portal with billions of users globally and 3 billion users worldwide. In other words, in the future, an AI assistant will handle all your tasks related to eating, drinking, and entertainment.

Furthermore, there are humanoid robots entering factories and households, as well as AI-driven innovative drugs and other fields. 2026 will be the year of a massive explosion of AI super applications.

The third major event is the rise of China's AI power.

Everyone should notice how incredibly smart and hardworking the Chinese are! Don't be fooled by the current situation; the US seems to lead in large-scale models and GPUs. But give China time, and it will soon catch up and surpass them. Back then, the US was very strong in photovoltaics, but now 90% of the world's photovoltaic power is made in China. Similarly, the US used to excel in new energy vehicles, but now 60-70% of the world's new energy vehicles are made in China.

In the future, whether it's GPUs or large-scale models, we will see the rise of China's AI power. What is the core of this Chinese power? It's domestic substitution.

The fourth major event is that the housing market will see a divergence between the top 20% and the bottom 80%.

I proposed the entire real estate analysis framework: long-term focus on population, medium-term focus on land, and short-term focus on finance. In 2015, I told everyone that first-tier city housing prices would double, and in 2020, I told everyone that the real estate market would experience a historic turning point.

Then, my recent viewpoint is the 20/80 split. What does that mean? Everyone should note that the era of universal price increases is over. In the future, core cities and core areas with population inflows will account for 20%, and there will still be opportunities, even potentially reaching new highs in a few years. However, please, absolutely avoid those lower-tier cities where the population is flowing out (80%). Take my advice: if you sell now, you'll be selling at the peak in three or five years because the population is flowing out, and there's no demand.

The fifth major event is increased geopolitical instability.

I've always talked about the logic of a major cycle, which is that we are in a period of unprecedented change. As you can see, there is deglobalization, trade wars, geopolitical instability, technology wars, financial wars, and a global arms race. These are not accidental phenomena.

So, in this process of geopolitical turmoil and the reconstruction of the global order, you will see that, as I told you three years ago, gold, silver and other precious metals have experienced an epic rise, right? I told you three years ago that you should buy gold during times of chaos.

So, five major events will occur in 2026, and I'll summarize them for you: a global interest rate cut; a massive explosion of AI super applications; the rise of China's AI power; a 20/80 split in the housing market; and increased geopolitical instability.

As Zeping Macroeconomics says: As we all know, our opportunities ultimately come from the times, and the greatest wisdom in life is to go with the flow. Brothers, once you understand these five major events, you'll know where the seven major opportunities lie. —Zeping Macroeconomics!
