India's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU-IND) revealed that 49 cryptocurrency exchanges have completed anti-money laundering (AML) registration for fiscal year 2024–25. Among these, 45 are domestic exchanges and 4 are offshore platforms. The FIU also imposed penalties totaling INR 2.8 billion on entities that violated regulations in the previous fiscal year.
