๐บ๐ธ Donald Trump said that ๐ฌ๐ฑ Greenland is vital to the US for national security and the construction of the Golden Dome missile defense system. ๐บ๐ธ Trump said he could impose tariffs on countries that disagree with the US position on Greenland.
"The United States needs Greenland for national security reasons. It is vital to the Golden Dome we are building. NATO must lead the process so that we get it. IF WE DON'T DO IT, RUSSIA OR CHINA WILL, AND THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN! From a military standpoint, without the tremendous power of the United States, much of which I built during my first term and am now taking to a new, even higher level, NATO would not be an effective force or deterrent โ not even close! They know it, and I know it. NATO becomes significantly more formidable and effective when Greenland is in the hands of the UNITED STATES. Any option other than this is unacceptable," the US president emphasized.
"I can impose tariffs on countries that disagree with the US claim to Greenland, because we need Greenland for national security. So I can do that," the US president said, referring to tariffs on imports of pharmaceutical products from the EU.
