UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer accused Donald Trump of attempting to coerce Britain on security issues, marking the latest sign that the U.S. President's demands regarding Greenland are undermining the transatlantic alliance.

During the weekly questioning session in the UK House of Commons on Wednesday, Starmer issued his strongest criticism yet of the UK's most powerful ally. The Prime Minister told lawmakers that Trump's criticism of the plan to hand over joint Indian Ocean base sovereignty was aimed at "clearly applying pressure to force me and the UK to accept the U.S. pursuit of Greenland."

"He wants me to concede my position, and I will not do that," Starmer said.
