Robots, which once only appeared in science fiction novels, have moved from the laboratory to production lines, logistics centers, and the service industry with the advent of Web2's architectural platforms and the proliferation of intelligent devices. In the past decade, machines have achieved partial automation but remain constrained by closed platforms and centralized control. All of this is gradually changing with the emergence of Web3.

Robots are no longer just simple hardware; they are economic entities on the blockchain. The data they generate, the actions they perform, and the value they produce can all be recorded, incentivized, and traded. The combination of AI and robots is redefining the boundaries between the physical and digital worlds.

Here are some projects that are relatively representative in this track or frequently mentioned in community discussions, as they participate in building the future of the robotic economy from different levels.

OpenMind

OpenMind is known as the 'Android of the robotics field', developing OM1 - the first fully open-source AI-native robot operating system (MIT License, GitHub 2.5k+ stars, 500+ global contributors). Supports mainstream hardware such as humanoid, quadruped, robotic arms, and mobile chassis, providing full-stack capabilities including positioning, mapping, planning, remote monitoring, and human-robot takeover.

Its FABRIC layer is a decentralized AI control protocol that enables large-scale robot collaboration, trust networks, ZK auditing, machine identity verification, and micropayment incentives (in collaboration with Circle, etc.), allowing robots to share knowledge, coordinate tasks, and form a shared intelligence network.

Financing: Approximately $20M seed + Series A completed in August 2025, led by Pantera Capital, with participants including Coinbase Ventures, Digital Currency Group, Ribbit, Sequoia China (now HongShan), Primitive Ventures and other top institutions. Funds are used to expand the engineering team, deploy OM1 robotic dog pilots (10 units for home, school, and public scene testing starting September 2025), and advance the FABRIC network.

Token issuance/TGE: No official TGE yet, tokens (such as OMND) expected to launch in Q1-Q2 2026 (based on investor lineup and roadmap speculation).

Current participation point (extremely hot, highly recommended): Season 1 points program is active, earn points by contributing spatial data to train robot navigation AI; FABRIC Identity Network on Base has been launched, able to mint identity NFTs and earn exclusive badges; waitlist exceeds 150k registrations; free Mint OpenMind NFT (requires holding a small amount of ETH); GitHub contributions, OM1 Beta testing, Discord/Twitter (@openmind_agi) for following Epoch/Season tasks; official website openmind.org to join waitlist and accumulate points, high airdrop potential.

Konnex

Konnex is a Web3 native, permissionless decentralized market for robotic intelligence and physical labor, allowing autonomous robots to sign contracts with each other, trade AI intelligence, and settle in stablecoins, aiming to create 'autonomous system GDP'. Core technologies include Proof-of-Physical-Work (sensor data audit certificate → automatic payment), Universal Task Language (JSON universal task format breaking vendor barriers), Market-Priced AI Intelligence (verifier competition KPI, excellent models earn royalties). Application scenarios cover decentralized logistics, robotic kitchens, smart agriculture, etc., aiming to unlock a $25 trillion physical labor economy.

Team: CEO Jon Ollwerther (15+ years of robotics experience, 5 exits, raised over $100M, '40 Under 40'), advisors include pioneers in drone swarms and others.

Financing: Just completed a $15M strategic round in January 2026, led/participated by Cogitent Ventures, Leland Ventures, Liquid Capital, Covey, M77 Ventures, Block Maven LLC, etc. Funds are used for platform expansion, hardware integration, and new validation protocol development.

Token issuance/TGE: No tokens launched yet, Konnex Points system has been activated, airdrop has officially started.

Current participation point (currently very hot, ongoing): Airdrop connects through hub.konnex.world, connecting wallets to complete Mandatory Quests to unlock more tasks → earn Konnex Points (with x1.2 multiplier activities); costs are almost 0, community Daily Tasks continue; strongly recommended to participate in quests to accumulate points immediately; white paper konnex.world/wp; Twitter @konnex_world for updates.

Token issuance/TGE: Completed, mainnet active, market value about $50-60M level (volatile).

Current participation point: Get Real event is ongoing (Season 2+, reward pool 210M $PEAQ, worth about $100M+), by completing real-world DePIN tasks, quests, earning XP/NP, and claiming tokens; still have active leaderboard and claim window, it is recommended to visit peaq Get-Real Portal to check in/interact; additionally, there are Universal Basic Ownership Pilot and tokenized machine deployment opportunities.

Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL)

Virtuals is an AI agent/robot tokenization launchpad, supporting onchain coordination and agent monetization, suitable for gaming, entertainment, and robotics scenarios. Features include the Pegasus/Unicorn ecosystem, allowing community participation in agent launches, and Butler tools supporting staking and ACP Score ranking.

//////////////////

The robotics track did not emerge out of thin air, but is the result of the gradual maturity of automation, AI, and Web3 infrastructure. On-chain identity, incentives, and settlement mechanisms provide new possibilities for machines to participate in economic activities.

In the current stage, the project still focuses on underlying capability building, and real large-scale applications are still in the early stage. Tokens primarily serve ecological startup functions, and their long-term value depends on actual deployment and usage.

Whether robots will become an important part of Web3 still needs time to verify. However, starting from 2024, this track has moved from concept to a stage that can be continuously observed.

Subsequently, we will continue to track the project progress, TGE situation, and real landing status of this track, and update and supplement as necessary.
