China noticed a possible response to the American replacement for the M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle
During transportation by trawl, photos of the modernised Chinese ZBD-04 infantry fighting vehicle with a new crewless turret appeared online, which is considered as a potential analogue of the future American infantry fighting vehicle XM30, which is being created to replace the legendary M2 Bradley
On the new version of the ZBD-04, it is noticeable that the traditional turret with a paired 100-mm and 30-mm gun from the Soviet BMP-3 is missing. Instead, a crewless module with sighting systems and possible weapons - probably a large-calibre automatic gun - was installed.
Due to the limited quality of the photos, it is difficult to clearly determine the exact armament of the new module, but the changes indicate China's desire to adapt its combat vehicles to modern requirements similar to those set in the XM30 project.
