Stupid Tencent

Recently, there have been reports that Tencent has formally filed a complaint with GitHub, requesting the removal of a number of open-source projects that "allow users to export or analyze their WeChat chat histories." According to PANews, some project leaders stated that they were forced to cease maintenance under legal pressure. On January 22, Tencent responded that these projects cracked the keys of the WeChat client through reverse engineering, threatening the privacy of users and third-party data, as well as the security of the client, and that they could be easily exploited by black and gray market activities.
