One of the biggest friction points in the digital economy is identity verification. Users are exhausted by "KYC fatigue," having to upload sensitive documents to dozens of different platforms, while companies are burdened with the liability of storing that data.
Dusk introduces a smarter solution with Citadel, a protocol for Self-Sovereign Identity. Citadel allows a user to verify their documents once with a trusted authority and receive a digital proof. They can then use this proof to access any service on the Dusk network. Crucially, they can prove they are eligible to trade (e.g., "I am over 18") without revealing their actual birth date or personal address. It is a privacy-preserving approach that satisfies regulators while respecting the user.
