Dusk is a layer 1 blockchain built for finance that needs both privacy and rules. I’m drawn to it because most chains make everything public and that breaks real markets where strategies balances and client data must stay confidential. Dusk uses privacy technology so transactions can hide sensitive details while the network can still prove the math is correct and the rules are followed. They’re focused on regulated use cases like tokenized real world assets and compliant DeFi where identity checks and audit trails matter as much as speed. In practice the goal is simple a user can transact without exposing their whole financial life and a regulator or auditor can still verify what must be verified through controlled disclosure. For builders Dusk is pushing toward easier integrations and familiar tooling so teams can launch applications without rebuilding everything from zero. They want fast finality so settlement feels reliable and less like a reversible spreadsheet and that reliability is what institutions usually demand first. If it works real finance can move on chain with oversight without turning users into targets.
