The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) will hold a joint public meeting on January 27 from 10 to 11 AM Eastern Time to discuss the coordination of digital currency regulation.

The meeting aims to clarify the powers between the two agencies, reduce regulatory complexities, and support the United States' position as a global innovation hub in the crypto sector. It is the first coordinated move between them in the absence of comprehensive legislation from Congress.
