🚨 Base Hacker has Awakened after 2 years of Silence? Recently, they are Laundering more than 5 million dollars through a Money Mixer?

After nearly 2 years of Dormancy since the high-profile attack in April 2024, the Hacker behind the theft of 16 million USD from Base on the Polygon network has officially resumed activities to destroy evidence.

🔷 On-chain data has just revealed that the hacker's wallet has begun moving the stolen funds with a systematic process of covering tracks:

- The hacker transferred 5.8 Million DAI to a brand new wallet, then immediately converted the entire amount to $ETH .

- As of now, a total of 5.4 Million USD has been deposited into the money mixer.

🔶 The hacker is splitting the funds to deposit into the mixer to avoid attention and optimize anonymity.

The deposit model recorded includes:

20 transactions: Each transaction 100 ETH.

3 transactions: Each transaction 10 ETH.

8 transactions: Each transaction 1 ETH.

9 transactions: Each transaction 0.1 ETH.

This is the amount related to the attack detected by on-chain detective ZachXBT on April 21, 2024.

At that time, a contract from Base on Polygon had been net withdrawn with more than 1,700 transactions, with total losses of approximately 15.97 Million USDC.
