In both instances of soaring prices, the background was either an oil crisis, severe inflation, or excessive liquidity following a financial crisis. The crazier the rise, the harsher the fall; it has almost become a law.
Now, in this round of market activity, the story has a new script: global central banks are increasing holdings, de-dollarization, and silver has industrial demand to support it. Some believe this time is different, with central banks providing a safety net, so the decline might be limited.
