$ETH BlackRock EIF Sale: $1.2B Dropped

In the last week of January 2026, BlackRock recorded a total outflow from its spot ETFs on $BTC (IBIT) and Ethereum (ETHA). This aggressive selling pressure played a central role in Bitcoin dropping below a significant support zone at $80,000.

- Bitcoin (IBIT): $947M sold. The peak of the outflow occurred on January 30 with $528M in a single day - the largest daily outflow of the fund in a year.

- Ethereum (ETHA): $264M sold. The largest sales occurred on January 30 with an outflow of $157M.

This activity coincided with a broader market cleansing, where the total outflow from Bitcoin ETFs across the industry exceeded $1.5B in a week ($818M just on January 29), confirming that the sell-off spread across all major issuers.

Having dropped below the $80,000 mark, a huge number of institutional buyers are now at a loss. We are witnessing a structural shift where the $80K level has changed from support to strong resistance, and some analysts are already considering the $72-75K level as the next possible floor.$ETH
