The project is growing like mushrooms, and airdrops are an indispensable part, making airdrop farming more chaotic than ever. I tried for a long time but didn't see any air, but when I got air, I immediately received a bright red line "You're not eligible" or even more spicy than getting airdrop but LOSS.

Typically, airdrops have caused a lot of controversy, this is also a sign that the game has changed and you should review your gameplay.

A look at the history of the airdrop "industry":

This is the time when OG teams started to play together and call bets through private/closed groups.

🔸 Early L2 Airdrop: The whole village gritted their teeth, eyes sparkling with infinite faith in a bright future. There were $OP, $ARB, $APT...

This time is different.

🔸 Late L2 Airdrop: Rewards reduced, farming is more tiring. On top of that, you are also scrutinized, denounced, filtered for sybils, and tortured ($ZRO). The air farming community gathered to complain to the sky "Why do people have the heart to be so cruel to the masses..."

But let's look back at the way we play, there are so many KOLs who write articles and give detailed instructions from how to create a wallet to setting up and nurturing social accounts, making videos showing how to farm thousands of accounts by logging in, running scripts... Mining farms were born with the hope that "Just 1 wallet receives 1$, making 1k wallets means having 1k$ in hand..."

How can we blame the project, AIRDROP HAS DEGRADED!

If you spend money to plow air and want a worthy reward, the project will also spend money because they need real users in HST to experience the product and build the community.

If you are serious about farming air like that, instead of being angry because you don't get airdrop, we should listen, change tactics at the right time, update news and play like a real user. There are people like that and they deserve to be the ones receiving rewards (OG).

In short, airdrop is still attractive and will become more and more difficult. But it will not die, because the project still needs users to test, needs "active users" data, has TVL, has activities... to have a beautiful data set, so they can go raise more capital.

Thanks to these purges, the airdrop/retroactive sector will witness the departure of a series of individuals with thousands of wallets burned, of farm owners who plowed but could not wait for the day of harvest, of projects that "exploded when they were big, but failed when they were big". Those who choose to stay should adapt. Don't set your expectations too high, especially in this market. It can happen, but it doesn't mean it has to happen - to you.
