🚀 My January in Futures: Learning to Navigate Turbulent Waters (and Surviving) 📉📈 I wanted to share my experience from January, my first month venturing into Futures trading. I am by no means an expert in this, nor do I intend to be, but this month has been a roller coaster of pure learning. The first few weeks were honestly chaotic. I made countless mistakes: impulsive entries, late exits, nonexistent risk management, and several liquidations. But every "mistake" was a lesson. Each time I lost, I forced myself to analyze what I did wrong, why I made that decision, and how to avoid it next time. For me, it all was the cost of a necessary lesson: The market does not forgive the lack of strategy or impulsiveness. Now, although the accumulated PnL is still negative, the trend in the last weeks of January has been a clear recovery. I started seeing more greens and feeling more comfortable with my trades and strategies. I am applying what I learned and little by little, I am correcting my course. This is not investment advice; it is my battle diary. If you are starting in futures, or if you have experience, I would say this: • Prepare to make mistakes: It is part of the process. • Learn from every mistake: It is the only way to improve. • Patience is key: Results do not come overnight. Although many trades still turn out horrible, I have learned to handle everything with patience. The results from those last weeks speak for themselves. What is the current result? I started again with $1.00 and I am already at $1.60. 👀 A 60% recovery that motivates me to keep going! 💡 Reflection: It is not about how much money you put in, but about how much discipline you have. If you cannot successfully manage $1, you will not be able to manage $1,000.
