Strategy just made the biggest Bitcoin buy in its history, adding 34,000 BTC to its stash.
Strategy announces the acquisition of 34,164 BTC in just one week, a record haul for the company led by Michael Saylor. This move was funded via the issuance of MSTR shares and STRC preferred stock, bringing the company's total holdings to over 815,000 BTC and confirming the ramp-up of its accumulation strategy.
Strategy pulls off the largest Bitcoin purchase ever.
Between April 13 and April 19, Strategy announced that it acquired 34,164 BTC for a total amount of around $2.54 billion, at an average price of $74,395 per Bitcoin.
This is the largest single buy executed by Strategy since it kicked off its accumulation strategy.
These purchases were funded by the sale of various securities offered by the company, including 21,795,389 shares of preferred stock (STRC) issued, generating about $2.176 billion net, while the sale of 2,165,000 ordinary shares (MSTR) raised an additional $366 million.
Following this operation, Strategy now holds 815,061 BTC, acquired for a cumulative amount of around $61.30 billion, at an average price of $75,527 per unit.
