No Orb Presence: The official "World Network" map shows no locations in Venezuela. The nearest verification points for Venezuelans are still in Cúcuta (Colombia), where a massive influx of border residents has been reported crossing to scan their irises at the three available points in that city.
Regulatory Environment: Despite cryptocurrencies being legal in Venezuela, the main regulator (SUNACRIP) has been undergoing a restructuring process and operational paralysis since 2023, making it difficult for new companies that require specific licenses to operate with biometric data and digital assets.
Use of the Application: Many Venezuelans are already using the World App to reserve vouchers or receive WLD transfers from abroad, but they cannot complete the necessary "human verification" to unlock all features without traveling to a country with active Orbs, such as Colombia, Argentina, or Ecuador.
Security Context and Warnings
In the local market, third-party scams have emerged promising "remote verifications" or the buying-selling of already verified accounts. It is advised to avoid these services, as verification is only possible in person before an official Orb, and the platform's policies prohibit the transfer of digital identities.
