In July 2025, a serious case of manipulation with the ALT token (AltLayer) was discovered.
The on-chain investigator ZachXBT revealed that a group of over 40 wallets connected to the influencer "Crypto Beast" executed a "pump and dump" for more than 11 million dollars in just a few hours.
🔍 What happened?
1. The influencer promoted the ALT token on social media, generating hype and attracting many retail investors.
2. As the price rose, those wallets started selling massively, causing a price drop of more than 90% in a matter of hours.
3. After the drop, the influencer deleted his posts, attempting to dissociate himself from the case.
4. The total value of the project (market cap) went from 190 million to just 3 million dollars, leaving thousands of people with losses.

Promises of great profits and "unique opportunities".
Sales from wallets linked to those promoting the token.
Sharp and sudden price drops.
Locking and unlocking of large amounts of tokens (token unlocks) that increase supply.
