Yesterday, our group of operators made the decision to implement a hard fork in order to reclaim the funds that were lost during the Balancer hack. The assets are now secure and no longer under the hacker's control.

We urge all remaining node operators to take the necessary steps to prevent any penalties.

This is a reminder for node operators considering the implementation of a hard fork aimed at facilitating the reimbursement of individuals impacted by the Balancer exploit.

The designated deadline for this action is 16:11:40 UTC on December 22, 2025. Nodes that fail to align with the chain holding the majority of the stake will incur penalties.

For the execution layer, the following minimum client versions are required:

- Geth: v1.16.7-gc.9
- Reth: v1.0.0 (note that this version necessitates a complete database resync)
- Nethermind: v1.35.8
- Erigon: v3.3.2

For the consensus layer, the requisite minimum client versions are:

- Nimbus: v25.11.1
- Lighthouse: v8.0.1
- Teku: v25.11.1
- Lodestar: v1.37.0
