Another Stablecoin Collapse🚨Another Stablecoin Collapse: Resolv Labs’ USR Crashes to $0.20 After $25M Exploit A stablecoin is supposed to always stay worth $1, like a digital dollar that doesn’t swing wildly. But yesterday, Resolv Labs’ USR completely lost that $1 value after a hacker found a major weakness in how new tokens are created. Here’s the crazy part: The attacker put in only about $200,000 worth of USDC and somehow created around 80 million unbacked USR tokens out of thin air, first 50 million, then another 30 million. They sold it all super fast on DEXs like Curve in just 17 minutes. The price crashed hard, from $1 down to as low as $0.025 in some pools, and around $0.20 on bigger trackers. The hacker turned most of it into about 11,400 ETH, worth roughly $25 million at the time. The Resolv team says the collateral backing USR ($95 million in assets) is still safe. But flooding the system with extra tokens diluted everything and broke the $1 promise. This echoes the infamous Terra/Luna collapse in 2022, where a flawed design turned a small trigger into a massive wipeout. Many stablecoins still have hidden weak spots like over-reliance on single points of control, fragile data feeds, or missing safety limits that can break the peg when things go wrong. Painful! For anyone holding USR... still trading way below $1 right now. But imagine if the king of stablecoins, USDT (Tether), ever collapsed? 💀

The wallet contained 43.6 BTC, worth roughly $3 million at the time of recoveryIn a story that feels almost too incredible to believe, a man finally regained access to his Bitcoin wallet after losing the password back in 2013.The wallet contained 43.6 BTC, worth roughly $3 million at the time of recovery , proving that persistence and technical know-how can pay off—even after more than ten years. The wallet had originally been secured using an early password management tool, RoboForm, which created a highly secure but ultimately fragile password file. Over time, the file became corrupted, leaving the owner locked out and unable to access his Bitcoin, even as the cryptocurrency’s value surged over the years. In 2023, the owner enlisted the help of security experts, including renowned researcher Joe Grand, who discovered a subtle flaw in the older version of the RoboForm generator used in 2013. By reverse-engineering the software and narrowing down possible password combinations, they were able to recreate the original password and successfully unlock the wallet. This remarkable recovery highlights the power of technical expertise, patience, and persistence. A long-forgotten wallet, overlooked for more than a decade, once again gave its owner access to tens of thousands of dollars worth of Bitcoin—demonstrating that even the most secure digital assets can be recovered with the right app
