BitMine Increases $ETH
Accumulation Amid Price Drop
ETH fell 8% over the past 24 hours, despite BitMine announcing its treasury now holds 3.72 million ETH after last week’s purchases.
The Nevada-based firm bought an additional 96,798 ETH, raising total holdings to roughly 3% of circulating supply, with plans to reach 5%. BitMine cites the upcoming Fusaka upgrade, tightening macro conditions, and expected Fed rate cuts on December 10 as key drivers for its aggressive accumulation. “These factors create positive momentum for ETH, so we boosted weekly purchases by 39%,” said Chairman Thomas Lee.
BitMine also holds 192 BTC, a $36 million stake in Worldcoin (WLD), and $882 million in cash. Despite these moves, the company faces an unrealized loss of around $3.9 billion due to recent ETH price declines.
