🚫 Part 16: The Futures Trap
Topic: Why Beginners Should Avoid Futures Trading.
If spot trading is like driving a car, Futures Trading is like flying a jet engine without a license. It is the number one way new traders lose 100% of their money in seconds.
1. The Danger of Leverage
Leverage allows you to trade with money you don’t have.
The Math: If you use 10x leverage, a small 10% drop in price equals a 100% loss for you. In the volatile world of crypto, a 10% move can happen in minutes.
2. Liquidation: The Point of No Return
In spot trading, if your coin drops 50%, you still own the coin. You can wait for years for it to recover. In Futures, if the price hits your Liquidation Price, the exchange takes your money and closes your trade. Your money is gone forever. You cannot "wait" for it to come back.
3. The House Always Wins
Exchanges charge "Funding Fees" every 8 hours to keep your position open. Over time, these fees eat your balance. Additionally, "Whales" often trigger sudden price spikes (called Scam Wicks) specifically to hit the liquidation levels of retail traders and take their money.

Multiple orders have been closed for profit, and the weekend market has low liquidity.
My trading frequency is well known to everyone—basically one trade every 3 to 5 days, and I hold each position for 3 to 5 days 😂 I don't follow the tactics of those so-called gurus who open trades every day just to earn trading fees.
I like money, but not money earned dishonestly.
If I were to 'harvest' from retail investors, I'd be opening several trades a day, with at least one hitting profit so I could brag about it. Sorry, after three years as a content creator, I've never done that once 🤷♂️

Market rhythm
I didn’t realize how much restraint would matter until trading slowed me down.
In 2025, I stopped measuring progress by how often I traded. I started paying attention to rhythm — how markets behave when momentum fades, when volatility compresses, and when the absence of movement carries more information than price action itself.
Being labeled a “trading leader” felt less like recognition and more like a reminder. Leadership in trading, at least for me, turned out to be about resisting pressure. Pressure to participate. Pressure to react. Pressure to always have an opinion.
Most of my meaningful progress came from decisions not to trade. From waiting through uncertainty without forcing clarity. From letting setups expire instead of trying to rescue them.
Presence is not activity.

According to on-chain analyst Yu Jin's monitoring, the two exchanges, bitFlyer and Binance, are conducting a staking operation totaling 320,000 Ethereum. Among them, bitFlyer is staking 240,000 Ethereum (approximately 1.133 billion USD). After announcing the launch of the Ethereum staking feature two days ago, the exchange transferred these Ethereum to the staking execution address for deposit. On the Binance side, they transferred 80,000 Ethereum (approximately 378 million USD) to their staking execution address half an hour ago and have completed the staking deposit.
