"I recently had a meeting with some brokers to discuss the idea of a strategic Bitcoin reserve. There was a convergence around something important: we cannot be obsessed with fixed theses. We need flexibility. If one path does not work, we should try alternatives that are more palatable and understandable. And several reflections have arisen along this line,' he revealed.
Guerra revealed that he is personally a big enthusiast of the idea of a Bitcoin reserve and also of other proposals involving the State, such as the purchase of Bitcoin by university funds.
"Since we are discussing reserves, even in a non-traditional form, we should broaden this concept. Why not think, for example, about public university funds being able to allocate in these assets?

As everything here is slow and bureaucratic, there were few updates regarding the legislation that started to be implemented and discussed back in 2022.
No one will pay more taxes. Self-custody will not be prohibited. It only prohibits algorithmic stablecoins. No one will pay IOF for buying stablecoin.
For now, I have only seen advantages in this legislation. But I am not a tax evader. I do not launder money (okay, occasionally some note appears washed in the washing machine 😅), I am not a defender of money launderers; I want to combat organized crime at its roots, not at the fragile ends that, once cut, become two.
Obviously, we will soon have more news. All countries, or almost all, tax cryptocurrencies. It's surprising that here we still only pay above 35k. But for now, the already approved legislation only strengthens the country.
