What’s behind the move? First, the cryptocurrency’s classification dynamics changed — DCR was recently included among top privacy coins, elevating its status in a climate where regulatory concerns (especially in Europe) are fueling demand for anonymous and governance-structured assets. 

Second, its supply dynamics are tightening. A large portion of DCR’s circulating supply is staked, which reduces sell pressure and can spark sharper price moves when demand spikes. 

Third, its model is proving attractive: a hybrid proof-of-work/proof-of-stake consensus, community-governance structures and a capped 21 million token supply are giving DCR a fresh narrative in the crypto race.
