Wasabi Protocol suffered an admin-key compromise that drained more than $5 million from its perpetuals vaults and LongPool across Ethereum, Base, Berachain, and Blast. Blockaid said the attacker gained ADMIN_ROLE through the protocol's deployer wallet. The attacker then upgraded the vaults to a malicious implementation that siphoned user balances. Wasabi urged users not to interact with its contracts while the investigation remains active.

Wasabi Protocol was exploited for more than $5 million across multiple chains, according to blockchain security firms. Blockaid and CertiK said a compromised admin key let the attacker use the Wasabi deployer wallet to gain privileged access, upgrade core systems, and drain funds. Virtuals Protocol froze Wasabi-powered margin deposits as a precaution, and Wasabi told users not to interact with its contracts until further notice.
