本港持牌虛擬資產交易所OSL昨日正式上線全球市值最大的黃金穩定幣Tether Gold（XAUT），提供XAUT/USDT與XAUT/USD兩個交易對，現階段香港的專業投資者可通過OSL HK的場外交易（OTC）買賣XAUT，散戶則未可買賣。
XAUT是穩定幣發行商Tether與英國貴金屬貿易商TG Commodities Limited 合作，於2020年推出的黃金掛鈎穩定幣，每枚XAUT代幣代表一盎斯實體黃金之所有權，目前流通市值達約22億美元。每枚代幣都有1︰1的實物黃金（倫敦金銀市場協會標準金條）作為支撐。
OSL集團首席商務官張英華表示，目前OSL上架的XAUT產品核心面對機構投資者，如私募股權基金、對沖基金，滿足整個配置的需求。除了支付外，亦可作投資，視乎監管批准，未來可望以XAUT作為抵押品，用在抵押借貸服務。
目標機構客 散戶暫未可買賣
不過，散戶未可買賣，張英華坦言，暫未有開放予零售投資者的時間表，之後可能與證監會溝通及申請。是次上架XAUT，有賴OSL與數字資產機構解決方案服務商Antalpha達成合作，以共同構建面向專業級及機構投資者的「數字黃金」解決方案。
Antalpha董事總經理George Chow說，在香港已初步實現實物交割，交割時間可達「T+1」，提升了現有傳統黃金交易模式。他解釋，傳統黃金投資主要分為三種方式，第一是購買實體黃金，但流動性相對較低；第二是紙黃金，惟不能作實物交割；第三是ETF，惟有持倉成本。
Chow認為，XAUT優勢在於沒有基金管理費，服務費相對更低，並可隨時交易，也可實物交割。他透露，實物交割的合作商是香港市場的頭部金庫及保管。視乎市場需求，若規模做大，亦會研究建立自己的金庫。
