Although Tom Lee (Chairman of Bitmine and Co-Founder and Head of Research at Fundstrat Global Advisors) has consistently maintained a bullish stance on BTC and ETH, a report prepared for private clients indicates that Fundstrat’s short-term outlook on crypto remains cautious, particularly regarding Ethereum.
In the Crypto Outlook 2026 report, Sean Farrell, Head of Digital Asset Strategy at Fundstrat, outlines a defensive base-case scenario for the first half of 2026. He estimates that the market could experience a meaningful correction, with:
• $BTC potentially falling to the $60,000–$65,000 range
• ETH declining to around $1,800–$2,000
• SOL dropping to approximately $50–$75
These price levels are viewed as attractive long-term buying opportunities. Farrell noted that he prefers to maintain a defensive positioning until the market clearly reconfirms its strength.
