When the BTC price drops to $62,000, the average holder is again in a loss — but the pain is focused on STH, while LTH haven't wavered.
The price drop has put the average BTC holder back in the red zone. However, an analysis of the distribution of the realized capitalization drawdown shows that the pain is concentrated in the cohort of short-term holders (STH), whose capital has decreased by 56%. At the same time, the capital of long-term holders (LTH) has been virtually unaffected.
The share of ETH on centralized exchanges has fallen to 12.235%, while for Bitcoin this figure is 15.286%. This means that ETH is in a more severe supply shortage than BTC. Fewer coins are available for sale, and more are locked in staking and other protocols.$ETH
